# Manage Gates

From the main Settings panel, tap \*\*Manage Gates\*\* to open the gate management screen.

***

### Manage Gates <a href="#view-gates" id="view-gates"></a>

The top of the Manage Gates screen shows every gate currently set for the chat, for example:

* **Token gates** — e.g. “Hold 100,000 $PONKE on Solana”
* **Payment gates** — e.g. “0.1 SOL Monthly on Solana”
* **Net worth gate** — e.g. “Net Worth: $10,000 USD”

Use this to confirm what’s active before you update, remove, or add gates.

#### Update Gate (owner only) <a href="#update-gate-owner-only" id="update-gate-owner-only"></a>

Change the required amount (or interval for payment gates) for an existing gate.

1. On the Manage Gates screen, tap **Update Gate**.
2. Choose the gate to update from the list (tap the gate’s button).
3. Follow the prompts to enter the new amount (or payment interval).
4. Confirm. The gate is updated and the list refreshes.

You can update token amounts, net worth minimum (USD), or payment amount/interval. The gate type (token vs payment vs net worth) stays the same.

#### Remove Gate (owner only) <a href="#remove-gate-owner-only" id="remove-gate-owner-only"></a>

Delete a gate so it no longer applies to the chat.

1. On the Manage Gates screen, tap **Remove Gate**.
2. Choose the gate to remove from the list (tap the gate’s button).
3. Confirm removal. The gate is deleted.

If you have more than one gate, you’ll be able to remove another or return to settings. Remember: users only need to meet **one** gate; removing one gate does not remove the others.

***

#### Add Gate (owner only) <a href="#add-gate-owner-only" id="add-gate-owner-only"></a>

Add a new token, payment, or net worth gate.

1. On the Manage Gates screen, tap **Add Gate**.
2. You’ll be guided through the same flow as [**Create a Gate**](/docs/gate-creation/gate-creation-overview.md)
3. Complete the flow. The new gate appears in the list.

Limits: up to **5 token gates**, and **1 net worth gate** per chat.

### Whitelist&#x20;

Whitelist users are **exempt from all gate rules,** they stay in the chat no matter what. Perfect for mods, VIPs, or special guests.

* **View Whitelist:** *See who’s currently whitelisted.*

#### Entry Message <a href="#entry-message" id="entry-message"></a>

The **entry message** is what users see when they need to verify or pay to enter (e.g. in your entry/portal channel). If you need to create a new message you can do so with the "Entry Message" button

**Edit the entry message**

1. On the Manage Gates screen, tap **Entry Message**.
2. If you already have an entry message, you can **Update Entry Message** (change text and/or image) or create a completely new message.
3. Type your custom message. You can use the current message or replace it.
4. Optionally add or change an image.
5. Review and tap **Send Entry Message** to save. The bot confirms and the new message is used for new joiners.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://4091296668-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FgpdBpq3fWRRplh4OcmGe%2Fuploads%2FEbT0zuDmWNvZytYDpJuh%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=04f169c2-b336-4d08-bb85-e7955dc74858" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

NOTE: The entry message DOES NOT need to include your gate requirements. When a user clicks to verify the bot displays your gate requirements to the users in DM's so users have the most up to date information. This allows you to change your gate info without needing to create a new entry message every time.\
