# Gate Types

Gate types define how users qualify to join and remain in your gated chats. You can mix and match them to fit your community.

### 1. Token Gate

A **Token Gate** requires users to hold a specific amount of a certain token to enter your chat.

* Users only need to meet **one** token gate to get in.
* You can have up to **5 Token Gates** per chat.

Token gates can be:

* **Custom tokens** (e.g. `$PONKE`, `$BRETT`, `$PEPE`) — perfect for community and holder chats.
* **Native tokens** (e.g. `$SOL`, `$ETH`, `$BNB`) — great for whale groups.

**Token Gate examples**

* Hold **100,000 `$PONKE`** or **100 `$SOL`** (users choose one).
* Hold **100,000 `$BRETT`** to enter.
* Hold **100 `$BNB`** to enter.

### 2. Net Worth Gate

A **Net Worth Gate** requires users to have a minimum **total portfolio value in USD** across all their verified wallets and supported chains.

It’s not about holding one token — it’s about their **combined wallet value**.

**How it works**

* You set a single minimum net worth in **USD** (e.g. `$1,000`, `$10,000`, `$50,000`).
* The bot uses the total USD value of everything in the user’s **verified wallets**:
  * Tokens
  * Native coins
  * Across supported chains (e.g. **Solana**, **Base**, **Ethereum**, **BNB**).
* If the user’s total portfolio value is **at or above** that amount, they meet the gate.

Limits:

* You can have only **one Net Worth Gate** per chat.
* If you need a different minimum, update the existing gate in **Settings → Manage Gates**.

**Net Worth Gate examples**

* Minimum net worth **$50,000 USD** to enter.
* Minimum net worth **$10,000 USD** to enter (whale‑style).
* Minimum net worth **$1,000 USD** to enter.

Good for:

* Communities where you want **serious holders** across any supported chain.
* Whale or high‑net‑worth groups where you care about **total portfolio size**, not a specific token.

### Using Multiple Gate Types

You can combine **Token** and **Net Worth** gates on a single chat.\
They act as **options** — a user only needs to satisfy **one** of them to enter and stay.

Maximum per chat:

* Up to **5 Token Gates**
* Up to **1 Net Worth Gate**

So at most **6 gates** in total, and a user only needs to meet **one**.

**Combined examples**

* Hold **500,000 `$BRETT`** *or* hold **10 `$ETH`** *or* minimum net worth **$10,000 USD** to enter.
* Minimum net worth **$5,000 USD** *or* hold **50 `$SOL`** to enter.
* Hold **500,000 `$PONKE`** *or* hold **100 `$SOL`** to enter.
* Hold **500,000 `$PEPE`** *or* hold **10 `$ETH`** *or* minimum net worth **$10,000 USD** to enter.
* Hold **500,000 `$MOG`** *or* hold **100 `$SOL`** to enter.

Now that you know the gate types, let’s now discuss **The Purge**.
